A detailed pelvic ultrasound for women taking Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) who have been advised or want to undergo ultrasound assessment, and/or are experiencing unexpected, persistent bleeding.
Particular attention is given to the uterus and endometrium, alongside assessment of the ovaries and surrounding pelvic structures.

Unexpected bleeding, particularly bleeding after menopause, can require medical investigation. Ultrasound does not replace assessment by your GP or gynaecology team.
Our ultrasound examinations provide an assessment and written report of the sonographic observations made during your appointment. They are not intended to diagnose or replace consultation with your GP, gynaecologist or other healthcare professional.
If our sonographer observes something that requires further investigation, we will explain the recommended next steps and advise you to contact the appropriate healthcare professional.
Women experiencing postmenopausal bleeding or other concerning symptoms should seek medical advice even if their ultrasound findings are reassuring.
Our scans are performed by an experienced qualified sonographer and include a written report detailing the sonographic observations. If we identify findings that may require further investigation, we will refer you to contact your GP or other appropriate healthcare professional.
